JAVIER SUÁREZ-GUANES is an Opus Dei priest now residing in Guatemala. He received a degree in law from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, and a doctorate in Rome in 1956. Following ordination as a priest, he did priestly work in Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador. He is currently the chaplain of the church Nuestra Señora de la Paz (Our Lady of Peace) in Guatemala.
