sterling silver St. Gregory the Great medal comes with a rhodiuim plate,
heavy curb chain, has dimensions of 1" X 3/4" and is encased in a
beautiful box. The St. Gregory the Great

St. Gregory lived in the 6th
century. He used his office of the
papacy to reform the liturgy and to teach.
He is credited with starting Gregorian chant. He is one of the earliest popes for whom we
have a great extent of writings, particularly sermons and commentaries. He is the patron saint of musicians and
singers.
