Born Peter John Sheen, May 8, 1895 in Illinois. Died December 9, 1979 in New York.

Auxiliary Bishop, New York; Bishop of Rochester.

Accomplishments: Abp. Sheen was a renowned theologian and preacher. He used the media (television and radio) to spread the Word, and because of his pioneering endeavors, he is regarded as one of the first televangelists. His Cause for Canonization was opened in 2002.
