This
gold-filled St. Christopher pendant is encased in an appealing box, comes with
a stainless gold, heavy curb chain and has the dimensions of 1 3/8" X 1
1/8". The St. Christopher medallion
features the saint with Jesus on his shoulders wading through water. Around the edge it reads "St.
Christopher Protect Us".
St. Christopher was strong, so
he lived by a perilous river and carried travelers across. One stormy night Christ came to him disguised
as a child and asked to be carried across.
Christopher did so. He had a
difficult time because Christ grew heavier and heavier as the crossing went
on. When they finally reached the other
side, Christ revealed Himself and said that Christopher had been carrying the
weight of the world on his shoulders. He
is the patron of motorists and travelers.
