Our Lady of Hope is an
apparition that occurred in France in the 19th century. At the time of the apparition, the
Franco-Prussian war was occurring, and Prussian forces were bearing down on
this French village. The day after the
apparition, they turned around mysteriously and never came back. The generals said they had been barred from
advancing by an invisible Madonna. The
war soon ended and the men who were in the army returned safely to the town.
